About the Cybersecurity programme:

In a world deeply connected by digital technologies, cybersecurity and global security have become one. Technologies such as AI, Internet of Things (IoT), Cloud computing, and blockchain represent the future of our digital world. The potential risks associated with these technologies define the future of cybersecurity. With a growing reliance on cyberspace, security is central to any nation’s prosperity. Cybersecurity is an evolving and demanding field. This calls for continuous training and concerted effort and awareness, to combat the rapidly expanding and new threat landscape. TETFUND Centre of Excellence in Computational Intelligence Research (TCECIR) at the University of Uyo is a Research and Innovation (R&I) established to become part of a research community within the IT and technology ecosystem and to incorporate its research findings into course materials and curricula. This is hoped to ensure that the University’s programme content is relevant to modern research, industry, market needs, and the ever-changing attack landscape. The new program offers great opportunities for aspiring information security professionals and practitioners. An important feature of the program is the availability of a globally integrated network of information security professionals from diverse backgrounds and experiences who would form networks to share experiences and their extremely attractive views with other students.

About the Data Science programme:

The Data Sciences postgraduate programme is a conversion course for graduates from a wide range of disciplines and backgrounds looking to pursue a career, or upskill, in this new and rapidly developing field. There is practically no field of human endeavour that does use data. Data Scientists are in short supply and there is high demand for data science skills across sectors including business, government, healthcare, science, finance, and marketing.
