Topfaith University set to commence medical science programmes

Foremost citadel of higher learning,Topfaith University, Mkpatak, Akwa Ibom State, has concluded preparations for the takeoff of three programmes in its College of Medical Sciences.

Making the disclosure during a recent interaction with newsmen, Founder and Chairman, Board of Trustees of the institution, Dr Emmanuel Thomas Abraham said that the National Universities Commission (NUC) has granted full approval to the university to run the three programmes which are: medical laboratory science, nursing science and public health.

He said the latest additions are in line with the institution’s resolve to remain a brand recognized globally for academic excellence.

Dr Abraham also revealed that the three programmes shall set the tone for the commencement of Medicine and Surgery programme in 2025.

An inspection of facilities in the three new departments showcased ultramodern structures equipped with up-to-date medical equipment and teaching/learning aids.

Situated in a very expansive area in Mkpatak, Essien Udim Local Government Area, the university has students from different parts of the federation and some African nations.

It already has a full-fledged Faculty of Law, Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Management and Social Sciences, and Faculty of Computing and Applied Sciences.
