That laptop you use for your everyday work, do you have a licensed anti-virus software installed?
I know many of us don’t have it on your system. And even if you have, it is likely not an updated version with latest signature.
Please note when you connect your laptop to the internet and browse, there is the likelihood of you can visit a website with malicious script that could potentially harm your computer and by extension compromise your stored confidential data.
SCREENSHOT: HOW TO BLOCK SUCH ATTEMPT

See the screenshot of my security software and notification message written on it.
That is a notification from my Anti-hacking software that it has blocked a suspicious connection attempt initiated by an unknown process from my laptop.
What that means is that a connection call has been made remotely by an attacker who possibly tries to gain access to my system through what is called Remote Access Trojan (RAT).
RAT is malware an attacker uses to gain full administrative privileges and remote control of a target computer. And once access has been gained, the attacker launches its attacks without the knowledge of the system owner.
Ensure, you have a licensed anti-protection software on your laptop should you consider the information you have on your laptop confidential and critical.
Be in control of your online privacy.
